The opportunity
The HVDC Commissioning management team in Sweden is seeking a Global Manager to lead, support, and develop individuals, the group, and the team. In this role, you will be part of the HVDC unit, leading a team of Site Commissioning Managers.
This role offers you the opportunity to enhance your expertise in HVDC technology and leadership skills in a dynamic environment. You will have the chance to influence multiple projects with your decision-making, accelerating the energy grid transition on a larger scale. How you will make an impact
Manage a team of Commissioning Managers across various countries, taking responsibility for recruiting, training, and providing strategic leadership
Ensure high-quality deliverables and execution according to project plans
Take ownership of short-term and long-term planning for the Commissioning management scope of HVDC projects globally
Maintain department interfaces and drive Scope and Division of Work discussions with other departments and customers
Decide and implement management strategies and continuous improvement projects with the management team, reviewing existing processes and identifying new ones
Support tender work for commissioning scope, ensuring commitments to customers are met in accordance with contracts

Your background
University Degree in a relevant area, such as Engineering or Business Administration & Management
Experience in engineering scope from design, testing, or commissioning project stages, and/or experience in a people manager/leadership role is required
Experience in HVDC/FACTS technology or AC substation commissioning work in high-complexity plants is an advantage
Fluency in English is required; additional language skills are an advantage
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to coach others in the commissioning area
Ability to work according to relevant legislation and standards with a pragmatic and smooth approach

In this context you will:
Development and Engineering of applications for Substation Automation Systems with Gateways, HMI and Communication.
Cooperation with our team for IED-engineering to establish the data exchange between bay-level and station-level.
Engineering and testing of NCC interface. Prepare test protocols for SA-systems.
Support our delivery organization with the assistance they need in order to successfully implement our new solution towards customer project. As well as supporting the tender organization for new opportunities.
Work with our station interface, both locally and versus remote
Train and support the organization in applying a new HMI and SCADA solution in our delivery projects.
Work with detailed design, system integration and test-based development
Perform HMI and SCADA verification of our control systems – executed in test rooms and on-site.

Your background
You hold a university degree within a relevant technical area along with competence and experience within the IEC61850 domain.
Significant Experience in Energy/Utility substation design
Grid Automation P&C and SAS products deep knowledge
Background in Electrical Control Systems and SCADA/DCS systems
Knowledge Standards with emphasis on IEC61850
Competency for substation automation engineering for station control systems based on Micro SCADA, with IEC61850-8-1 standard, MODBUS, OPC DA/UA etc.
Good knowledge in Ethernet topologies and various redundancy concepts
4+ years of experience with Substation Automation Systems.
Experience within any of these fields are advantageous: IEC61850, HMI (Micro SCADA), event and database handling, communication protocols.

As BIM coordinator within Power Quality, you will be an integral part of the design team to coordinate and to support the process of generating digital models and integrated data often referred as ‘Information’ about a project, from the design stage through the construction stage.
You will have responsibility for the BIM workflow and ensuring that any potential issues during modelling, clash detection and data conversion are dealt with efficiently.

How you´ll make an impact
Your main task will be to work with auxiliary power system components and design of our plants to assure?the?highest quality and robustness in our delivery projects and tenders
Support tenders, project and platform as well as work directly in delivery project?
Develop the base/detailed design and relevant documents and drawings (using E3) based on customer requirements as well as global and local standards
Validate the auxiliary system design via ETAP analysis and prepare the reports

? Your background?
You hold at least a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering
Proven work experience from similar roles

You have previous experience of customer interaction and working in tenders, and are familiar with activities such as project work, standardization, base platform work
Experience of ETAP and E3 tools
You have good communication skills in English,?both spoken and written.

How you´ll make an impact
Develop and hold Quality Induction trainings to different departments to increase the quality awareness as well as coordinate and lead lessons learned sessions with the team for ongoing projects and ensure their transfer to new projects.
Collect quality related contractual and local requirements and implement them in the project quality plan as part of Quality Assurance (QA).
Create a project quality plan (PQP) based on customer and internal requirements. Make sure that it is followed and implemented in all the project phases.
Create and follow-up on the master test plan for supplier and site activities as required. Ensure that Hitachi Energy and customers’ quality requirements are communicated to critical suppliers via quality control plans (QC).
Ensure that inspection test plans (ITP) and inspection test records (ITR) from suppliers are following those plans.
Review quality documentations for correctness and completeness prior approval (e.g. test certificates, checklist, etc.)
Organize and supervise factory or site acceptance (FAT) testing with customers, third parties and governmental authorities whenever required.
Report Quality related project KPIs, assist and coordinate in audits, as well as improving existing internal processes. Lead improvement projects (PDCA, DMAIC, 8D).

Your background
University Degree in a technical discipline like engineering or quality management and minimum 2 years project quality experience or in operations, preferably also acquired through study internships.
Proven capability in managing internal projects in a large and complicated organization.
Experience in process management ideally in project business, preferably in the energy, power, or automation industry.
Experience in Continuous Improvement projects and knowledge of quality management standards e.g. ISO9001.

You as a Sales Specialist for service sales to our installed base customers of Network Control systems, will be part of the Hitachi Energy business in Europe. The opportunity
We are looking for a senior site commissioning manager that will be part of Hitachi Energy and HVDC. HVDC unit (High Voltage Direct Current) develops, manufactures, and sells DC transmission systems on the global market. HVDC technology is used to transfer electrical energy over long distances and for power transmission when using undersea cables. HVDC is also used to interconnect power systems.
You will be the commissioning lead for a team around 15 commissioning engineers in a range of medium-to-high-complexity projects in HVDC. Reporting to the line manager Claes Eriksson, you will lead the completion of all commissioning activities efficiently and cost-effectively, in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards and safety requirements. You will have the opportunity to travel to sites all over the world, experience different cultures.

We are looking for a Project Engineer at Hitachi Energy, Grid Integration business. This role can be located anywhere in Sweden (remote working), depending on the experience of the selected candidate. The preferred location, however, is close to Västerås.
The business line designs and delivers complete substations for distribution and transmission grids. In close co-operation with customer and other Hitachi Energy teams we deliver solutions to many segments, like renewables, battery energy storages, data centers, industry, utilities and green hydrogen sector. You will be part of a dedicated and skilled commissioning team within our Grid Integration business - Nordic Cluster (Sweden, Finland & Denmark). As a commissioning engineer, you are accountable for pre-commissioning and commissioning activities in our projects (e.g. HV substations for utilities, industry, data centers, etc.). You will also have opportunities to improve our quality and cost footprint by contributing to the base design platform, our commissioning and engineering processes, and tools.

Develop entry-level engineers through the sharing of knowledge and experience.

How you´ll make an impact
Leverage your expertise in electrical engineering, testing, energy storage, and power electronics to innovate and improve our STATCOM solutions.
Stay updated on energy storage technologies and testing methods, as well as applicable standards.
Design, select and test product components, ensuring functionality and safety.
Support the organization with technical understanding of our design and system.
Develop safe and high-quality procedures for maintenance, installation, and commissioning.
Manage risks in R&D projects and across the organization.
Lead and coach, possibly as an EPIC Owner, Product Owner, or workstream leader in Agile teams.
Contribute to strategic technology plans and roadmaps.
Act with integrity and foster collaboration within and outside the company.

Your background
You hold a master’s degree in electrical engineering with several years of experience with medium or low voltage products or systems. Experience with FACTS solutions is a plus!
You have energy storage expertise from design and testing of energy storage systems and circuits, with knowledge of related standards.
Laboratory and Safety Proficiency, familiar with laboratory work and electrical safety processes
You are familiar with structured design methods with experience in Failure Mode and Effects Analysis.
Your background involves some understanding of converter control and converter system dimensioning
Proficiency with tools like Matlab, PSCAD and PLC control
You are a systematic thinker who approaches work methodically and proposes solutions based on structured analysis
Some leadership experience in project management and leadership roles, capable of coordinating group efforts
Excellent Communication Skills, fluent in English, both written and spoken
