Within R&D there is a total of eight teams, out of which two are Softwaredevelopment Teams that work on different tasks. The main focus within Software Developmentis our Operating System WeOS, our self-developed OS that is used in all of our products. Our R&D spend is about 15%, which says quite a lot about the focus we have on development.
Due to our continuous growth, we need to split the two software teams into three. This change will allow us to better manage our resources and enhance our development capabilities. By creating an additional team, we can ensure more focused and efficient work on our projects. We are now looking for a Manager for one of the Software teams to join our team!
Are you our new Manager for one of our Software teams?
Within R&D, we work on both hardware design, as well as software development. The robustness of our products goes beyond our hardware; to us, the software solutions need to be robust and reliable as well. In all of our products, we use our self-developed WeOS, and your team's main task is to develop and maintain WeOS. We primarily work in Linux, and most of our developers program in C. As many others, we follow an Agile development model, and are active in the open source community.
As one of the Software Managers, you will be part of the R&D Management Team, reporting to the Vice President of R&D, Mikaela Näslund. You will be working closely to the other R&D Managers, and of course your team, consisting of more than 10 software developers. Besides managing your team and their tasks, you will be responsible for resource planning, cost management, giving input to the R&D budget, competence management and bench marking relevant technology development on the market. You will also drive improvements in R&D, and together with your colleagues and product managers, work with our road map and strategical work of software development.

This role is part of a global product development group consisting of six agile teams, of which you will take on one or two teams located in Västerås, Sweden. Position description
The Technology Development and Process Excellence (TDPE) department at QIAGEN DNA Synthesis delivers product and process development projects as well as technical support to internal and external customers. Tasks like development , project management, documentation, testing and contacts with sub contactors are also key focus areas. Development is executed both locally and together with global functions within QIAGEN.
We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced manager to lead the TDPE department as part of the management team at QDS, reporting to our site manager. Your team consists of 9 technical specialists focusing on analytical and organic chemistry. The department is a support function, mainly for our production. The ultimate aim is to improve, develop and streamline the flow from order to delivery of our oligonucleotides/ synthetic DNA.

Som affärsstrateg tillhör du koncernfunktionen Strategi & Utveckling och arbetar, tillsammans med andra affärsstrateger och affärsutvecklare, med att utveckla och vidareutveckla vår affär, produkter, tjänster och erbjudanden. Som affärsstrateg arbetar du, i nära samarbete med andra, med analys av existerande och framtida förutsättningar för marknad & kunder, analys av konkurrenslandskap, ny teknik, nya lösningar och affärsmodeller. Analyserna genererar underlag för olika beslut om vägval, vägval som sedan ska testas och verifieras i verkligheten – i vilken du deltar aktivt i.


Arbetet är varierande till sin karaktär – strategiskt, taktiskt och operativt – det innebär dialog, kommunikation och aktiviteter i alla tänkbara ledder. Your challenges
Lead a program consisting of several global R&D projects in the control software area that are an integral part in our effort to develop products, systems, services or technologies.
The program you will lead is distributed on several sites and we want you to inspire and lead the teams, as well as enable them to deliver competitive products with superior customer experience.
Work with cross-functional project teams and deliver on the defined program KPIs.
Lead in partnership with business managers, steering groups, platform organization, strategic competence, product management and external parties to ensure value creation.

Your background
MSc/PhD in Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or equivalent.

Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Financial acumen (P&L experience, budget, forecast, resources, etc.)

Realheart is looking for candidates motivated to progress the technology from the development stage to clinical use and commercialization. An opportunity exists for a senior design engineer professional to join the small and dynamic team to support design activities to meet documented performance requirements.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience with electro-mechanical equipment development in the field of medical devices.

Key responsibilities
· Effectively communicate department or area issues and results within and across functional areas and conducting presentations of details and/or technical information concerning specific projects or timelines

Education/Experience/Qualification
• Advanced degree in Engineering or Bioengineering required, preferred PhD
• Minimum of 5 years of direct product development and launch experience within medtech
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience of managerial roles
• Deep understanding of Medical technology or very similar technology/system
• Fluent English and Swedish skills in speaking, writing and understanding
The ideal candidate for this role will have experience in new concept and product development. Högskolan söker nu en akademichef till akademin för utbildning, kultur och kommunikation – UKK – som tillsammans med högskolans övriga ledning ska ansvara för och med stort engagemang driva akademin i enlighet med högskolans vision och strategi.

Vid akademin arbetar cirka ?200 personer, verksamheten finns både i Eskilstuna och Västerås. Akademin kännetecknas av forskning och utbildning inom bland annat didaktik, pedagogik, musik, moderna språk och matematik. UKK har utbildning på grund, avancerad och forskarnivå och erbjuder ett stort antal fristående kurser. UKK bedriver dessutom uppdragsutbildning till yrkesverksamma förskollärare, lärare, rektorer och förskolechefer. Utbildningsvetenskap och matematik är en av MDH:s sex forskningsinriktningar. Här arbetar forskarna bland annat för att öka kvaliteten inom svensk utbildning samt utveckla högteknologisk industri med hjälp av matematik.

UKK är också värdakademi för CeSAM, som är MDH:s kompetenscentrum för medarbetare och studenter. I uppdraget som akademichef UKK leder du en flervetenskaplig akademi. Du är en inspiratör och närvarande ledare för både medarbetare och studenter. Du leder UKKs ledningsråd och utvecklar i samarbete med avdelningscheferna utbildning, forskning och verksamhet. Tillsammans ansvarar ni för kvalitet i utbildning och utbildningsutbud.

Som akademichef är du arbetsgivarföreträdare och huvudansvarig för akademins medarbetare och ekonomi. Tekniska och administrativa stödfunktioner finns både inom akademin och i förvaltningen, och du bidrar i att samarbetet fungerar väl. Du ingår även i högskolans ledningsgrupp och bidrar aktivt till hela högskolans utveckling, såväl akademiskt som ekonomiskt. Du bidrar även i att utveckla och upprätthålla en god samverkan på regional, nationell och internationell nivå.

Kvalifikationer
