Join our procurement and logistics team supporting the design and production of motors for Rail applications and Mobile e-Power. Main Responsibilities
Develop and implement strategies for supplier selection, negotiation, and contract management.
Responsible for supplier evaluation, risk management, and continuous improvement of the supplier base. Initiate and lead cost-saving projects and improvement initiatives.
Collaborate with production, quality, and engineering to solve delivery challenges and quality issues.
Ensure suppliers meet our requirements for sustainability, quality, and business ethics.

Your Profile and Qualifications for the Role

Your role and responsibilities
As the Process Automation Regional Category Specialist (Sweden), you are responsible for developing the executing a pipeline of high value strategic initiatives in the country. Based on your deep subject matter expertise in the area of procurement, you are proactively identifying opportunities to deliver the overall Category performance, savings targets, and manage the local tools. The job role requires actively engaging and partnering with senior Business stakeholders, Operations and Business Procurement/Finance.
Thanks to your strong leadership, communication, and influencing skills, you ensure stakeholder alignment and support to deliver exceptional value through the implementation of Category Strategies and initiatives. You further establish effective working relationships with local and regional procurement to ensure alignment and the full realization of the benefits of the Category Strategy.


Main Accountabilities
The objective of this position is to leverage the purchasing power of ABB on a global and regional level and to achieve the set performance targets for the country:
Accountable for the creation and application of a Business-aligned long-term Strategy for Sweden in collaboration with the EMEA Category Managers and the development of an annual pipeline of strategic category initiatives.
Working in close collaboration with the sites on the continuous improvement of our Integrated Supply Chain Solutions program and the related RACI/business process to translate them into clear, practical guidance for key Procurement and functional colleagues in the EL sites.
Understanding business priorities and challenges and ensuring successful realization of the Country Strategy by building strong partnerships across all stakeholders. Also being able to act with diverse cultural backgrounds.
Ensuring a robust approach to supplier management, establishing value creation targets and reporting of supplier performance, developing innovation programs, managing supplier risks and conducting regular business reviews.
Proactively driving/supporting demand management to reduce our overall external spend with third parties and create a true EBITDA impact – e.g. the implementation of vending machines or implementation of modern tool crib design.
Support the roll out of catalogues and to ensure a high level of hands-free ordering and a reduction of tactical sourcing to the minimum in the countries using SAP Ariba or alternative ERP solutions.
Ensuring full control on supplier and material master data to allow for sourcing automation and running RfQs/eAuctions in SAP Ariba.
Ensuring full control on all the local tools.



Qualifications for the role
University degree, with business or engineering degree preferable.
5+ years of in-depth strategic and/or operational procurement experience or equivalent extensive experience working in the category for which the role is intended to support.
Excellent communication and project management skills with an ability to lead and coordinate cross-functional teams and deliver complex strategic initiatives, in a truly global, fluid, interactive environment.
Proven financial and business acumen and capability in negotiation, change management and stakeholder management.
Business level fluency in English and Swedish.
Strong result-orientation.

We are looking for a Procurement Business Partner / Category Manager responsible for categories within indirect material and services procurement. You will be part of a small team responsible for indirect material and service procurement within ABB Robotics. Our primary focus is Sweden but we are working in a global team. Our responsibility covers everything from defining the sourcing strategy, performing supplier qualifications, running sourcing events and negotiations, developing the relationship and processes with the suppliers to working with internal stakeholders to capture their demand and develop processes to make it easy to buy indirect material and services.
The role reports to Region Manager Indirect Material & Service Procurement, ABB Robotics.
Your responsibilities:
Develop, plan and implement sourcing strategy, and drive sourcing initiatives in order to deliver savings to target within defined categories.
Manage a wide supplier base and develop it to fit to requirements of cost reduction, efficiency, quality, delivery and sustainability in accordance with company guidelines.
Negotiate agreements based on corporate contractual framework with suppliers, periodically renew price lists, terms and conditions.
Work with process improvements and system implementations, utilizing digital tools to make it easy to buy and always ensure transparency and compliance.

Your background
University degree in Engineering or Economics (minimum Bachelor´s degree) and at least 3-5 years of working experience within procurement. Experience from working with indirect procurement is beneficial.

Ability to develop sourcing strategies, the skill and motivation to do the hands-on sourcing, run negotiations and manage contracting.
Analytical and result-oriented and have a structured approach solving problems and delivering to target.
Curious and quick to learn new things enabling you to handle a broad range of indirect material and service categories throughout the company and capture demand and requirements from many stakeholders.
Strong communication skills (written and spoken) and the ability to create commitment with stakeholders in all levels of the organization.
Fluent in Swedish and English, written and spoken.

Control appropriate time response from suppliers and meet internal demands and schedules.
Care for the good and transparent relationship with suppliers and ensure that our suppliers comply with the laws, regulations, standards, certificates, and directives that Hitachi Energy requires from them.
Support category related actions on supplier qualification and audits process, as well as re-cover of supplier caused claim values, matching claims with reported non-conformities related to Supplier Quality.

HVDC Supply Chain is looking for a Category Specialist to support the global sourcing initiatives, under collaboration with global category manager and handle activities that require agility to transform category strategies into actions.
Category Specialists are expected to work collaboratively with Project team and other internal stakeholders, engage in Projects and execute strategies defined during the Tendering phase.

How you´ll make an impact
Support strategic sourcing activities, in close alignment with the category manager; drive RFQs, RFPs for project execution.
Issue proper quotation comparison / equalization map to support purchasing decision; update costs for project execution, against budget targets.
Initiate Purchase Order (PO) and, when needed, support collecting Order Acknowledgments from suppliers.
Control appropriate time response from suppliers and meet internal demands and schedules.
Care for the good and transparent relationship with suppliers and ensure that our suppliers comply with the laws, regulations, standards, certificates, and directives that Hitachi Energy requires from them.
Support category related actions on supplier qualification and audits process, as well as re-cover of supplier caused claim values, matching claims with reported non-conformities related to Supplier Quality.
Foster collaboration as ONE Hitachi Energy team. Some Of Category Specialist’s Main Responsibilities
Support strategic sourcing activities, in close alignment with the category manager; drive RFQs, RFPs for project execution.
Issue proper quotation comparison / equalization map to support purchasing decision; update costs for project execution, against budget targets.
Initiate Purchase Order (PO) and, when needed, support collecting Order Acknowledgments from suppliers.

Dina arbetsuppgifter i huvudsak
Dina arbetsuppgifter kommer bestå av:

-Daglig ledning av försörjningsbas, inklusive hantering av leverantörsprestanda (Leverans i tid, kvalitet, lyhördhet och ledtid).
-Stödja utvecklingen och genomförandet av en inköpsstrategi och övervaka leveransmarknaden, både befintliga och nya potentiella leveranser, för tilldelad kategori.
-Leda kommersiella förhandlingar och hantera regelbundna prisbyten, leverantörskontrakt och dokumentation i system.
-Driva kostnadsoptimering och aktiv riskhantering i tilldelad kategori.
-Sourcing aktiviteter för nya produktintroduktioner.
-Samarbeta tvärfunktionellt främst med FoU, Kvalitet och Inköp, och globalt främst med Kina och USA för att stödja team för tilldelade uppgifter.


Vem är du?
För den här tjänsten söker vi dig som har:

-2 års+ erfarenhet av försörjningskedja, arbete i en strategisk eller taktisk roll, gärna i en stor tillverknings- eller global organisation.
-Examen inom ingenjörs- eller affärsområdet med fokus på Supply Chain Management.
-Stark kommunikations-, interpersonell- och förhandlingsförmåga både internt och externt.
-Självgående och resultatorienterad lagspelare som gillar att vara i en global miljö med olika kulturer (interna och externa med leverantörer från olika länder).

Vi ser även att du har:
-Fördjupad förståelse för inköpsverktyg och praxis med avancerad Excel-kunskap. Erfarenhet från arbete i SAP, Ariba eller andra likvärdiga system är meriterande.
-Grundläggande kunskap om industriella råvaror/försörjningsmarknader i ett globalt sammanhang (exempelvis växlar, mekaniska, kablar och sele, plast) och förståelse för de centrala tillverkningsprocesserna.

Drive cost optimization and active risk management in assigned category.

Your background
2 years+ experience in supply chain, working in a strategical or tactical role, preferred in a large manufacturing or global organization.
Major in engineering or business field with focus on Supply Chain Management.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills (internal ABB and external with suppliers).
Self-driven and result-oriented team player that likes to be in a global environment with different cultures (internal ABB and external with suppliers from different countries).
In depth understanding of purchasing tools and practices with advanced Excel knowledge. Experience from working in SAP, Ariba or other equivalent systems is a plus.
Basic knowledge of industrial commodities/ supply markets in a global context (example gears, mechanical, cable and harness, plastic), and understanding of the core manufacturing processes.

Also adapts corporate contractual framework to the local business needs. Recommends frame agreements to management and executes upon approval. Enheten är en resurs i form av affärsstöd, i alla typer av inköpsfrågor. Vi har också det övergripande ansvaret för e-handel i Region Sörmland.

Enheten består av 56 personer med olika roller, varav 5 är kategoriledare. Inköp har kontor i Västerås, Eskilstuna, Katrineholm och Nyköping.

Kvalifikationer

Vi söker dig som har utbildning inom ekonomi, inköp, juridik eller annan utbildning som av arbetsgivaren bedöms som likvärdig, alternativt att du har förvärvat motsvarande kunskaper i arbetslivet. Du har god erfarenhet av kategoriledning. Det är meriterande om du har erfarenhet av projektledning och arbete med spendanalys. Har du arbetat med offentliga upphandlingar där du har tillämpat LOU/LUF/LOV är det meriterande. Vi ser även positivt på erfarenhet av att leda team med digitala verkyg på distans. Du måste kunna uttrycka dig väl i svenska språket både i tal och i skrift. Goda kunskaper i Officepaketet är ett krav.

As a member of SCM for the Design to Value and R&D initiatives, you shall be responsible for the optimal Supply Chain set-up for the respective System Solution, supporting the team’s efforts to reducing cost and enhancing customer value, through identification and elimination of waste in product / system designs and configurations.
During R&D projects, the Category Manager will be providing current price/cost information and future price and market developments to ensure improved support for material, design and supplier selection decisions. He/her will be responsible for ensuring compliance of RFx processes and eliminate risk of dependency and intellectual property right violations with any limited number of suppliers and facilitate the consensus for supplier selection for early involvement.
Your responsibilities
Lead and execute Supply Chain tasks related to R&D Projects, Estimate SCM cost savings potential of identified initiatives in the projects and support business case and project plan development by utilizing VA/VE (Value Analysis / Value Engineering) methodologies, which focus on improving both existing product lines and new designs as a control for escalating material and labor costs, or improving product margins, while maintaining product integrity.
Identify waste opportunities across the Value Stream: suppliers / materials, logistics, product, mfg. process, expenses / supplies, services and others from a total cost of ownership (TCO) perspective.
Leverage the knowledge and competence of the SCM network and liaise as required with e.g. Category Leaders and Lead Strategic Sourcing Manager at the appropriate organizational level. Ensure compliance with sourcing strategies; utilizing existing/preferred suppliers.
Recommend supplier selection based on HSE, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Strategic fit criteria.
Draft and manage the development of supply agreements ensuring IPR protection and exclusivity of co-developed solutions with suppliers.
Identify internal demand, market price evolution and available market capacities.
Establishing and maintaining a strong collaboration with Global and Regional Category Managers, leveraging the project strategic categories within Power Grids. Ensure a seamless flow of information, tender support and Internal Sourcing Governance.

Your background
Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline or business administration.
Good communication and networking skills as well as strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong sense of ownership and entrepreneurial attitude.
Work experience in the energy segment.
Minimum 5 years of professional experience in a project environment.

Contribute to idM4Vision cost estimator.
Define process governance where applicable.
Align technology platforms with other Global Category Managers and Business Global SCM Managers (Suppliers’ Panel, Price Database, etc.
