Roll och ansvarsområden
På ABB Machines i Västerås designar och tillverkar vi högklassiga, energieffektiva motorer och generatorer som levereras till kunder över hela världen. Nu söker vi en engagerad Provrumstekniker som vill vara med och säkerställa att varje kontrollskåp som levereras tillsammans med våra maskiner håller högsta kvalitet.
Som Provrumstekniker blir du en värdefull del av vårt team som ansvarar för sluttest och verifiering av våra kundanpassade kontrollskåp innan leverans. Du får arbeta i en tekniskt utmanande och omväxlande miljö, där du utför tester, mätningar och kontrollerar PLC- och skyddsreläprogram. Dessutom får du träffa kunder från hela världen och samarbeta med dem när de besöker oss för att följa våra slutprov (FAT),
Dina huvudsakliga arbetsuppgifter kommer att inkludera:
Utföra sluttester av kontrollskåp till magnetiseringssystem , inklusive elektrisk uppkoppling, mätningar samt verifiering av PLC- och skyddsreläprogram.
Felsöka och identifiera elektriska problem och programvarufel i kontrollskåpen.
Samarbeta med konstruktörer, produktionspersonal och kunder under testprocessen.
Aktivt bidra till kontinuerliga förbättringar och säkerhetsinitiativ inom avdelningen.

Din bakgrund
Erfarenhet av provning eller idrifttagning av elektrisk utrustning, inklusive kontrollskåp eller testsystem, gärna med utbildning inom elkraftteknik, automation eller regleringssystem
God förståelse för PLC-programmering, elektriska scheman och styrsystem. Kunskap om principer för motorstyrning, såsom start/stopp, frekvensstyrning och skyddsreläsystem är meriternade.
Praktisk erfarenhet av kabeldragning, justering och felsökning av elektriska styrskåp, samt kunnande i elektriska mätmetoder (multimeter, isolationsprovare). Erfarenhet av FREJA/Sverker eller andra signalgeneratorsystem är meriterande.
Strukturerad och säkerhetsmedveten med förmåga att dokumentera testresultat, kommunicera tydligt och samarbeta effektivt med både kollegor och kunder.
Goda kunskaper i svenska och engelska, både i tal och skrift, samt goda kunskaper i Microsoft Office.

Qualifications for the Role
Hold a Master of Science in engineering.
Several years of experience in quality work or as an engineer.
Be knowledgeable in electronics and mechanics.
Possess strong knowledge of drawings, circuit diagrams, quality methodologies and PPAP.
Have proficiency with quality management software and tools. Have experience with Quality Management Systems (QMS), such as ISO 9001 or IRIS.
Knowledge in Lean 6 Sigma and preferably Green Belt certification.
Bring a collaborative mindset and a proactive, solution-oriented approach, backed by strong communication skills—both written and verbal—to drive results and build trust across teams.
Possess advanced problem-solving skills with a proven track record of solving complex quality issues.
Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

Job Scope
Responsible for the development, validation, and execution of the methods used for material analysis, including incoming material, intermediate and finalized products for R&D and production on a wide range of instruments in strict adherence to the principles of Quality Assurance in QC.
Key Responsibilities

Always work with safety as first priority?
Write the testing plans and work instructions for materials, incoming parts, product intermediates and finalized products?
Perform testing of control plan inspection items and special requests, using a variety of laboratory instruments
Specialized and increased responsibilities in a specific area or scope of the laboratory
Perform data analysis, interpret data and report data/results
Organize test results in the expected template and/or LIMS system, maintain control charts, and take correct actions when results are found to be out of specification?
Be able to troubleshoot first of line problems arising on the instruments?
Drive method improvements; help update standard operating procedures as needed?
Understand the fundamentals of method development and validation and take a major part in the execution side?
Mentor and train the quality control technicians and associates on the analysis methods?
Perform regular (daily, weekly, monthly) preventive maintenance on instruments?
Adhere to and ensure 5S and safety protocols are maintained within the laboratory work environment?
Drive operational excellence by being a key player in problem-solving and process improvement exercises?



Requirements
Educational background and previous experience required for the role
Qualifications and Experience
BS or MSc in chemistry, material science or mechanical engineering or quality
5+ years of relevant experience with lithium-ion batteries or related industries?
Hands-on experience with chemicals, mechanical tools and/or data processing?
Project management skills and a successful track record of leading quality projects in a laboratory environment?
Knowledgeable in Lean and six sigma?
Specific knowledge of quality management systems, e.g. ISO 9001, IATF16949, TQM

How you’ll make an impact
You will be a Supplier Quality Engineer in our Power Quality team, working directly towards suppliers within our scope as a member of our supply chain management (SCM) organization.
You will conduct supplier qualifications and audits.
You will be responsible for supplier quality issues and drive investigations following the 8D methodology.

How you´ll make an impact
Develop and hold Quality Induction trainings to different departments to increase the quality awareness as well as coordinate and lead lessons learned sessions with the team for ongoing projects and ensure their transfer to new projects.
Collect quality related contractual and local requirements and implement them in the project quality plan as part of Quality Assurance (QA).
Create a project quality plan (PQP) based on customer and internal requirements. Make sure that it is followed and implemented in all the project phases.
Create and follow-up on the master test plan for supplier and site activities as required. Ensure that Hitachi Energy and customers’ quality requirements are communicated to critical suppliers via quality control plans (QC).
Ensure that inspection test plans (ITP) and inspection test records (ITR) from suppliers are following those plans.
Review quality documentations for correctness and completeness prior approval (e.g. test certificates, checklist, etc.)
Organize and supervise factory or site acceptance (FAT) testing with customers, third parties and governmental authorities whenever required.
Report Quality related project KPIs, assist and coordinate in audits, as well as improving existing internal processes. Lead improvement projects (PDCA, DMAIC, 8D).

Your background
University Degree in a technical discipline like engineering or quality management and minimum 2 years project quality experience or in operations, preferably also acquired through study internships.
Proven capability in managing internal projects in a large and complicated organization.
Experience in process management ideally in project business, preferably in the energy, power, or automation industry.
Experience in Continuous Improvement projects and knowledge of quality management standards e.g. ISO9001.
Capacity to communicate, result oriented, speed in execution, openness and listen to others.
Strong analytical skills and attention to details.
Fluent in English and local language written and oral.
Willing to travel to project site locations within the cluster (approx. 10% of the time).

In this role you will be part of "Global Center of Competence Power Quality” (former FACTS), a business unit within Hitachi Energy. As a Technical Quality and Support Specialist you will have two main tasks. One task is to support the sales team when there are complex technical requirements and guiding in technical solutions.

Your responsibilities:
Provide technical guidance in service sales and tendering to determine the most appropriate and cost-effective solutions to meet customer needs in our upgrade tenders.
Participate in root cause analysis and contribute to project lessons learned to identify and rectify systemic issues, driving corrective actions accordingly.
Follow up on warranty and post-warranty failures to identify and mitigate systemic issues.

Your background
A MSc in Electrical Engineering or Engineering Physics or similar.

Drive improvement of quality level and performance for process and product in manufacturing

Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to)
Overall areas of responsibility and activities
· Establishing PFMEA's, process flow charts and MSA. Continuous updating of DFMEA's and PFMEA's by working in multidisciplinary teams with process engineering, production engineering, R&D etc
· Defining, establishing and owning the Quality Control plans for each process operation
· Set up quality monitoring procedures, quality KPI's, evaluate performance and make improvement proposals, i.e. Process capability: SPC and Cpk
· Participate and input to quality gate reviews in the industrialization phase of Product Development to ensure reliable manufacturing of

The Process Quality Technician will be in charge of product quality compliance at our Labs Production facility. You will be in charge of confirming key quality attributes of intermediate product, responding to non-conforming product and quality issues in production.
The role will primarily support the Labs production 3-shift teams and will work closely with all production technicians and the Quality Engineers. The goal is to ensure quality of all production steps and product outcome in R&D production and customer prototypes.
In general you have a long experience in quality control and compliance and is skilled in implementing production quality principles and methodology
You will be responsible for ensuring that production processes and products meet the company’s and customer's quality specifications, defining in-line problems and recommending and follow-up of improvements.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Lead day-to-day quality assurance activities in production ensuring that production/product quality specifications are met.
Potential to operate various analytical equipment such as a Karl Fischer, measurement by ruler or micrometer, microscopes etc
Ensure control checks are completed according to control plan.
Interpret data and report data/results on yearly, monthly, daily basis.
Define product problems and non-conformities and recommend improvements.
Ensure imminent containment activities and decision making in case of non-conformities and quality problems
Participate in 8D reports and ensure the actions are implemented.
Provide trainings to employees.
Improve 5S method and actions together with production team

Education/Experience
Bachelor´s degree (or technical school degree) in Chemical or Material Engineering or equivalent professional experience
Experience from quality control and assurance on the manufacturing shop floor
Experience in yearly, monthly, weekly and up to date reporting
Specific knowledge of quality management systems, e.g. ISO 9001, IATF16949, TQM
Familiar with SPC, FMEA, Quality troubleshooting tools and problem-solving methodology
