Job Scope


High level purpose of function.


The Senior Manager Supplier Quality will lead, organize and manage a team of Supplier quality and development specialists, engineer and experts, will implement supplier quality standards, process and define policies in line with Lytens quality objectives, customers' expectations and industry standards. The Senior Manager Supplier quality will also ensure the global quality performance of Lytens supplier including qualification, development and industrialization of best-in-class suppliers in terms of Development, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Sustainability, PPAP activities, support to the sites in case of quality incident. Scope: Chemicals and Components and Mechanicals, including, but not limited to, Cathode active Materials, Anode Active Materials, Electrolyte, Binders, Conductive, Separators, Foils, Can, Lids, Tapes, plastic parts.
Key Responsibilities


Overall areas of responsibilities and activities
Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to)
Lead and scale the Supplier Quality team, including GSS team, consisting of Supplier Development and Supplier Quality Engineers driving the industrialization of Lytens supply base globally.
Assess new and existing suppliers to consistently meet requirements for performance, quality, cost, sustainability, and delivery.
Ensure robust Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VA/VE) and Quality plans in our customer projects.
Develop and negotiate Supplier Quality Agreements and specifications in collaboration with our Category Managers and R&D Engineers
Develop the efficiency and effectiveness of our procedures for evaluating and qualifying new suppliers and materials and ensure that supplier selection follows a robust qualification process.
Take ownership of our supplier evaluation and development activities to systematically drive supplier quality performance across all dimensions.
Develop, align, and improve Supplier Quality strategy, processes, tools, and Lyten’s Supplier Quality Handbook with Lyten’s Group Quality Organization.
Support sites in case of Quality incidents

Requirements
Educational background and previous experience required for the role.
Education and experience in the quality discipline
Experience and specific knowledge of quality management systems, e.g., IATF16949, ISO 9001, TQM
10+ years of experience within high volume manufacturing
Experience of supplier quality management in relevant industry, e.g., Battery Manufacturing or Materials, Automotive, Pharmaceutical, Food industries
Experience from auditing and developing suppliers in a global setting, i.e., Asia, Europe, North America
Experience in developing processes, manuals, standards, procedures, and documentation to support efficient Supplier Quality Management and Industrialization

· Define and implement the category strategy aligned with the company strategy and with internal stakeholders,
· Build the supply base, the supplier panel,
· Negotiate the contracts and recommend the suppliers for new projects,
· Drive the supplier performance and optimizations related to cost, quality, deliveries, sustainability,
· Manage and develop the relationship with Lyten’s suppliers

· Scout the market, evaluates suppliers’ capabilities and define the suppliers panel for the different projects, depending on stakeholders needs and in accordance to the company strategy.
· Build and maintain strong, long-term supplier relationships and develop the local supplier base.
· Send and pilot RFQs, negotiate long term contracts with best possible Quality Cost Delivery Sustainability contractual conditions with suppliers, with the ambition to achieve Best in Class performance for Lyten Programs
· Propose Sourcing and supplier contact to the Sourcing Committee
· Responsible for the global Supplier performance (QDCS) from Sourcing Phase to EOP and drive continuous improvement
· Works tightly with different functions and in line with the company gates expectations. Main stakeholders: R&D, Strategy, Sustainability and IP/Legal counterparts, internal clients as CPM and Purchasing project team, for the different entities of the group.
