Marine & Ports is specialized in advanced automation and information systems for motion control of all types of container cranes. We are the leading supplier of crane systems and are active worldwide. In the large terminal automation projects we deliver electric and automation systems for up to 100 cranes, to the major ports in Europe, Asia and America. In a modern container terminal there are remotely controlled Ship-To-Shore cranes, which handle the loading/off-loading of the container ships. These are in the storage yard supported by stacking cranes, robotized cranes weighing hundreds of tons, which automatically move and with high precision stack the containers. The operation of all the cranes is controlled from a central control room in order to optimize the productivity of the terminal.

Your responsibilities
Managing container terminal crane projects.
Holding the overall responsibility for the project execution while the position requires that you manage everything from general project issues to the more hands-on details together with your project team.
Being responsible for the project from hand over from the Sales Unit to expiry of warranty.
Managing projects that vary in size and range from approximately MSEK 10-300 and achieving their deliverables and compliance with requirements.
Identifying, analyzing and addressing project risks, with the regular sharing of lessons learned.
Readiness to travel since our customers are always abroad.

Dina ansvarsområden
Du arbetar med leveransprojekt för gruvspel Automation och elektrisk konstruktion.
Du som ledande konstruktör är  ansvarig för anläggningskonstruktion inom  el- och automation i projektet. Vår leverans är kontrollsystem, övervakningssystem bromssystem och drivsystem för gruvspelet.
Du arbetar både som elektrisk konstruktör och ledande konstruktör.
Som ansvarig för den tekniska delen av projektet, ser till att projektet levereras i tid med rätt kvalitet och inom budgeten för elektrisk konstruktion samt uppfyller lokal standard och kundens krav och specifikationer.
Du stöttar anläggningens team från anläggningen och från kontoret under installation och igångkörning.
Du agerar som teknisk expert för att stötta projektledare i tekniska frågor gentemot både kunder och leverantörer.
Du fokuserar på ett projekt, vars tidslängd normalt är mellan 12-16 månader, och kan stötta i andra projekt.

Din bakgrund
Du har en akademisk utbildning som elektrisk ingenjör.
Du har erfarenhet från automation och instrumentation från processanläggningar.
Det är meriterande om du har kunskap om databas design verktyg för elektrisk ingenjörskonst, erfarenhet från låg- och mellanspännings ställverk, reläskydd- & kabeldimensionering eller igångkörning av processanläggningar.
Du är en kvalitetsfokuserad lagarebetare med en utomordentlig förmåga att prioritera bland uppgifterna.
Du jobbar på ett strukturerat och analytiskt sätt för att uppfylla deadlines.
Det är ett krav att du pratar engelska flytande, svenska är det ett plus.

Your background
A Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or similar field. Alternatively, you could have a YH-education together with several years of work experience.
Preferably, more than 4 years of experience working as electrical design engineer in delivery projects or with products.
Experience of Engineering Base, Eplan or similar tools.
A high level of self-motivation, curiosity and desire to learn about new technologies.
A collaborative, solutions-oriented approach and strong communication skills.

You will be part of ABB Hoisting and the Electrical Design unit. We develop and deliver underground mine hoists to the entire world. Your responsibilities
Working in delivery projects for hoists in mining plant.
Responsibility for plant design for the automation parts of the plant, including power supply for control cabinets, construction of control cabinets, signals and communication between the hoist and the control cabinet.
Working both as an electrical designer and project lead engineer.
Leading the technical part of the project, ensuring that the project delivers on time and budget for electrical engineering, fulfills local standards and customer’s requirements and specifications.
During installation and commissioning work, you will be supporting the site team both on site and from office.
Acting as technical expert to support the project manager in technical matters against both customer and suppliers.
The duration of a project is usually about 12-16 months, you will be focusing on one project and can be supportive in others.

An academic exam in Electrical Engineering.
Experience from automation and instrumentation in process plants.

Working in a structured and analytical way to meet deadlines.

Previous experience from embedded hardware development since you will participate in operational audit work of our development as well as take decisions based on technical aspects.
Experience in development and certification of safety-rated embedded systems from e.g. process, aerospace or automotive industry. This means that you have working experience with different methods of risk analysis, e.g. FMEA, FMEDA and HAZOP, and are able to analyze and define safety levels of different components.
Experience in the safety standard IEC61508, is a big advantage.
You are structured, result-oriented, analytical and capable of working efficiently with parallel activities.

ABB Ports is specialized in advanced automation and information systems for motion control of all types of container cranes. We are the leading supplier of crane systems and are active worldwide. In the large terminal automation projects, we deliver electric and automation systems for 50 to 100 cranes, to the major container ports in Europe, Asia and North America.

In a modern container terminal, there are remotely controlled Ship-To-Shore cranes, which handle the loading/off-loading of the container ships. These are in the storage yard supported by stacking cranes, robotized cranes weighing hundreds of tons, which automatically move and with high precision stack the containers. The operation of all the cranes is controlled from a central control room to optimize the productivity of the terminal.
