At ABB Robotics we have several R&D sites globally, and at the site in Västerås, all R&D engineering disciplines are represented, from software- to electronics- and mechanical development. We are now looking for a committed and enthusiastic employee to our assistant & office coordinator role for our R&D departments in Sweden. In this role you will support the R&D family in daily operations, as well as drive projects and initiatives in an office environment. You will be the key person in many of the administrative tasks as well as supporting the local management team, ensuring our operations run smoothly. Your responsibilities
You will prepare reports for the management team, follow-up on action plans, as well as participate in the executive R&D management team meetings.
You will drive and manage projects related to e.g. our office environment.
You will be responsible for the administration of the onboarding and offboarding process for our employees, including reviewing various permissions and access rights.
You will assist with travel arrangements and support in organizing visits and events.
You will handle procurement activities (including purchase orders and invoice processing).
You will be a contact person in the organization for many of the internal questions towards R&D.

Your background
You are well-organized, co-operative, service-minded and thrives in a busy and fast-paced environment.
Positive attitude, with a high level of “problem-solving” mindset.
Good communication and presentation skills in Swedish and English – both written and verbal.
Solid knowledge of MS Office tools and knowledge in SAP. Experience in PowerBI or similar is considered meritorious.
Proactive approach and the interest to drive and manage projects.

We are looking for a Technical Writer at ABB AB, Marine & Ports Business Line in Västerås. Marine & Ports is a business line within ABB’s Industrial Automation division that assists shipping companies to transfer containers in a reliable, fast and cost-efficient way. Specialized in advanced automation and information systems for motion control of all types of container cranes, Marine & Ports is the leading supplier of crane systems and is active worldwide.

Your responsibilities
Using your expertise to manage compilation of product documentation, such as product manuals, and to describe handling, functionality and architecture of technical products and solutions.
Planning, editing, writing and developing complete set of technical documents for the customer. Providing sufficient information and content in written or other form regarding the product or solution so that it can be understood and used by the recipient.
Collaborating with technical colleagues across the organization to collect all relevant information to be used in technical documentation, and partners with them to clarify ambiguous topics.
Coordinating the approval process for the technical documentation. Organizing reviews and ensuring that the documentation meets customer requirements.
Staying up-to-date on the main characteristics of the relevant products, as well as the most common publishing tools on the market.
Contributing to ad hoc project activities and developing/improving documentation tools and processes. Executing tasks using approved processes and tools.

Your background
A B.Sc. or M.Sc. in information design or another equivalent degree.
At least 5 years’ working experience of technical writing.
Good written and spoken skills in English and Swedish.
The ability to formulate yourself well in writing.
Meriting is if you have experience in creating technical illustrations.
