Description: R&D Verification and validation (V&V) consists of being part of verification and validation planning, execution, documentation of results and communication of results back to their design teams. Verification and validation is conducted within the following technology areas, Electronics Hardware, Software, Field programmable gate arrays (FPGA) and Mechanics. Work processes and associated tools are provided, and the expectation is that processes are followed and provided tools are used unless other agreements are made.
Under general guidance of supervisor or more experienced engineer, perform various engineering duties requiring the exercise of judgment and application of standard engineering principles and practices. Pursue initiatives to improve effectiveness of the group and increase customer satisfaction or full fill legal or other agency requirements.
Minimum requirements of education and experience: • 2-6 years of work experience within the relevant field and a bachelor or master’s degree, or • Another technical degree with 10-15 years of work experience within relevant field. • Working command of the English language.

This role requires fluency in Swedish and English, both written and spoken.
This is a full-time consultant position in Västerås through Incluso. Start is in February, 11 months limited contract to begin with, with possibility of extension after that. This role is 100% onsite in Västerås.

Din roll

Som Valideringsingenjör är din roll både utmanande och utvecklande. Du arbetar tvärfunktionellt med att validera instrument till QC:s laboratorier. Valideringen sker i enlighet med gällande standarder och riktlinjer, såsom Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), samt lokala och globala instruktioner.



Du kommer även att arbeta med avveckling och rekvalificering av instrument och system. Arbetet är självständigt, varierande och sker i nära samarbete med andra funktioner inom företaget.



Att arbeta med ständiga förbättringar är en naturlig del av ditt arbete. Du bidrar till robusta processer med LEAN som ett systematiskt arbetssätt. Du blir en del av en grupp med 15 Valideringsingenjörer och rapporterar till Gruppchefen för QC Validering.



Skallkrav:

Gedigen erfarenhet av validering eller kvalificering av instrument inom läkemedelstillverkning eller annan GMP-styrd verksamhet.
Teknisk eller naturvetenskaplig utbildning på högskolenivå inom kemi, biologi, process- eller maskinteknik.


Kunskap om LEAN och förbättringsarbete.
Goda språkkunskaper i svenska och engelska, både i tal och skrift.
Erfarenhet av automatiserade utrustningar och datoriserade system är meriterande, eftersom digitalisering blir allt viktigare inom verksamheten.

Northvolt is now looking for Validation Engineers in the safety and environmental test group to be part of our growing team in Västerås. This is your chance to contribute to the development of the world's greenest and most sustainable Li-ion battery cell.
With your exhaustive experience in battery testing, you will play an integral role in the validation and qualification of our safe, long-lasting, high-performance battery cells. This includes taking the responsibility for project deliveries and reporting to both internal and external stakeholders. You will also work with a broad perspective from high-level prerequisites and concept development in the early phases to the later project phases managing planning, development and delivery.


Key responsibilities:
Plan, organize, direct and follow up on project-related testing activities, especially safety and environmental test mainly at the cell level
Ensure delivery of the project activities
Perform and develop tests together with the team
Design of new test methods, not limited to cell scale
Conduct certification test cooperating with accredited test institutes
Analyze and present test results
Support set up of test facilities
Help the team to perform and innovate
Facilitate communication and clarification of technical requirements between customers and Northvolt's internal stakeholders

Education/Experience
Bachelor or above degree within Electrochemical, Material, Electrical or Mechanical field is a must
MSc or above degree within the relevant field or comparable work experience would be a plus
More than 3 years of experience from the development and testing of secondary batteries, lithium-ion based technologies would be a plus
Excellent communication skills as you will be in constant interaction with international customers and team members from both the technical and business development side
Proven results in meeting customer requirements and expectations
Recognize the risk of cell/battery development and production
Experience with Li-ion Cell Safety and Environmental testing
Knowledgeable in test design and setup
Confident in data analysis and presentation
Experience with automotive projects
Basic understanding of Li-ion battery materials, production, characterization and safety evaluation



Specific Skills/Abilities
Excellent English skills (both written and oral), Chinese, Japanese, Korean and German a big plus
Ability to work during high pressure with tight deadlines
Strong organization skills and used to manage a range of activities simultaneously
Experience from start-up environment is a plus
Ability to work well with others in a team environment, as well as independently
