Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to purchase materials according to required technical specifications, price, delivery schedule, and terms. Each day, you will ensure purchasing activities align with corporate purchasing policies and procedures. You will also showcase your expertise by identifying new suppliers in cooperation with the relevant category team.


You will be mainly accountable for:
Initiating Purchase Orders in the system, according to the purchase requisitions and in alignment with standard procedures, and confirming delivery with suppliers, monitoring, and tracking supplier performance to PO requirements.
Negotiating agreements with main suppliers, and periodically renews price lists and terms and conditions.
Recommending frame agreements to management and executing upon approval.
Analyzing and evaluating bids to determine the optimal value.



Qualifications for the role
A bachelor's degree in engineering, supply chain management, or a related field.
Proven experience in purchasing or procurement, including initiating purchase orders, negotiating supplier agreements, and managing supplier performance.
Strong analytical abilities and excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers.
Familiarity with procurement systems and processes, including bid evaluation, frame agreements, and compliance with corporate purchasing policies.

As an Operational Buyer, you will be responsible of planning and purchasing materials and services resulting in a high level of service to production and/or end customers and at the same time contribute to improved costs, lead times and inventory optimization. You will closely work with commodity strategy and ensure project execution in line with objectives and KPIs.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service Leader Support:

Consolidation of Customer Service Leader needs.
Conduct the Procure to Pay process.
Preparation and launch of RFQ/RFI with suppliers.
Create purchase orders in the ERP system against selected suppliers.
Ensure that materials are delivered on time.
Support the interaction between suppliers and Finance and drive improvement points within the process.
Negotiate agreements and conditions with suppliers.
Close collaboration with customer leader to secure short time to quote and on time delivery to end customer.
Work with continuous improvement and actively drive competence development in this area.
Effective teamwork with internal customers and stakeholders in problem solving.
Apply the Alstom Sourcing process and provide return on experience.
Promoting the Alstom Code of Ethics and adhering to the highest standards of ethical conduct.


Supplier Performance:
Monitor that suppliers' performance against QCD (Quality, Cost, Delivery).
Monitor supplier performance though OTIF as well as drive improvement actions based on defined KPIs.
Monitor and proactively work to identify any upcoming delivery problems and continuously update stakeholders of any future material shortages.
Actively participate in resolving any identified material shortages.


Vendor Management:
Ensure that selected suppliers are correctly set up in the system according to Alstom’s vendor management process.
Responsible for updating and maintaining supplier data in ERP system.
Manage specific supplier panel relationship.
Monitor day to day suppliers’ performance and issues.
Management of initial issues before escalation to line manage.
Respect Alstom code of ethics and guidelines.

Requirements
Graduated from Business School or Engineering School.
Fluent English and Swedish.
Experience from international business

Utbildning, Erfarenhet och personliga egenskaper:

• Utbildning inom eller erfarenhet av elektronik och/eller ekonomi
• Du har ett par års erfarenhet eller intresse av operativt inköp eller projektinköp
• Erfarenhet av inköp i någon typ av ERP system, gärna i Monitor
• Du kommunicerar både muntligt och skriftligt på svenska och engelska

I rollen som projektinköpare har du en god förmåga att planera och driva ditt eget arbete och att leverera resultat enligt tidplan. Som person är du målinriktad och trivs med att arbeta med många kontaktytor och under eget ansvar. Du behöver ha en analytisk förmåga och arbetar strukturerat.

Plats: Delsbo (Hudiksvall) eller Västerås
Lön: Enligt överenskommelse
