We are now hiring several embedded software developers to our R&D Team in Västerås where we are looking for exceptional and enthusiastic talents to strengthen many different technical areas in the robot system such as motion control, process applications, functional safety, human-machine interface and autonomous test system development.


Your responsibilities
Drive new technologies in robotics by delivering high quality, innovative software solutions.
Work in cross-functional lean agile teams to continuously evolve and deliver on new product objectives.
Collaborate with other Software Engineers, Electronics Engineer, User Experience experts, Product Owners and other stakeholders in the unit, taking on learnings and opportunities that will arise every single day.
Be part of the whole process – from customer demand to prototyping, coding, test development and follow-up.
Take lead for your delivery and own development. 
Contribute to the team with your positive energy.

You are passionate about Software development, especially C/C++ and C#.

ABB Robotics is a leading supplier of industrial robots and robot software, equipment and complete application solutions. We are a trusted partner who continues to redefine robotics automation, with a focus on collaborative solutions, which allow humans to work safely alongside robots without the need for barriers.
We are strengthening up our IT system team with one more system owner with focus on our business analytics applications. As of now we are using QlikView loaded with data from several SAP ERP clients, OMS and unique SharePoint data.


Your responsibilities
This role will specialize in the Business Analytics and Master Data management area, where you will support and drive our ongoing Global QlikView project where development is made by external supplier.
Project consists of global/regional data strategies—implementing processes, systems, and tools to ensure that enterprise data is accurate, complete, secure, and reliable.
An important part will be to support the Product Sales and other parts of the business aiming to connect and understanding our business requirements as well as translating it into IS/IT requirements and implementation, acting as a link between business and IT. 
You will collaborate closely with our different parts of the organization as well as our supply units situated in Sweden, China, US and Japan. Each supply unit has its own SAP client with separate setups. You will be a key driver to understand the differences and drive and propose alignment to support the Global processes and data collection.

Your background
A university degree in IS or IT, alternatively demonstrable profound knowledge in the area.
Knowledge of ABB Robotics products and/or ABB’s IS/IT infrastructure is an advantage.
Experience of working with ERP systems, preferably SAP.
Demonstrable systems project experience is beneficial.
Fluency in English is required, fluency in Swedish is advantageous.
Combining strong social skills and highly developed problem-solving abilities, you are a proficient project manager/coordinator with ability to drive tasks to completeness.
You are capable of both running/coordinating different projects as well as having capability of doing simpler developments e.g. QlikView, SharePoint and/or future Power BI environment.
You have the willingness and curiosity to learn and develop in this area, as we aim to improve our in-house capabilities and wish you to be a catalysator in the area.   
Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with colleagues at ABB units in both Sweden and internationally.
