You will be a part of the Motors & Generators business unit. Synchronous Machines develop, manufacture and sell synchronous and asynchronous AC motors and generators with output of around 1 MW and upwards for motor drives and generator applications.
Would you like to work in an international environment for an expanding unit that holds large projects and own production? Take the opportunity to take on a new position to strengthen the quality work at Machines. As a quality engineer focused on production, you will have a central role in improving both customer perceived quality and internal efficiency.

Your responsibilities
In this position you will be a part of our quality department which also are responsible for the unit’s quality management system, customer complaints, supplier quality development, special processes and continuous improvements.
You will have a central role and act as a coordinator between our Supplier Quality, Production and Project Execution with the objective to obtain and maintain a high level of quality from our operations processes.
You will have various areas of responsibilities to enable the fulfillment of quality goals;
You will coordinate and develop quality coordinators in production, report, monitor and analyses quality parameters from operation.
You will manage Lean/6-sigma activities to secure that proper root-cause analyses are done and that corrective actions are defined and implemented.
You will also live ABB’s core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.
In addition, you will also continuously identify areas for improvements by supporting other functions such as R&D and conducting internal audits.


Your background
In this position you need to have a high level of analytic skills, good technical understanding and knowledge with a questioning attitude.
You hold a BSc degree or higher in a technical area combine with a few years of practice.
This position puts high demands on your quality competence where you have skills in 6-sigma, green or black belt and the skills needed to manage small projects.
You have a high level of communication and cooperation skills to be able to collaborate with all levels of the organization, as well as suppliers and customers.
High knowledge in MS Office, experience in production processes and measurement techniques is consider an advantage.
Fluency in English and Swedish is a must, written and spoken alike.

Your responsibilities
Perform supply quality issue resolution including supplier claims preparation.
Support production with activities related to non-conformities from suppliers.
Coordinate work with production, engineering and suppliers.
Lead supplier performance evaluation and supplier quality development activities including the internal supplier quality forum.
Quality surveillance at supplier manufacturing site.
Establish, develop and maintain local supplier quality related procedures & practices, based on global procedures and secure full supplier management in ProSupply.
Support supplier onboarding.
Ensure each supplier is in compliance with the ABB Supplier Code of Conduct, ethics and corporate governance, ABB standards and applicable regulatory requirements.

Your background
A high level of technical understanding and knowledge.
More than 2 years of work experience within the relevant field or a Bachelor or Master degree in a technical area.
High level of analytic skills with a questioning attitude.
Good communication and cooperation skills to be able to collaborate with all levels of the organization, as well as suppliers and customers.
Solid knowledge in MS Office, experience in production processes and measurement techniques is considered an advantage.
You are a team player, driven, structured and result-oriented.
Fluency in Swedish and English, written and verbal, is a requirement.
